Turn to Him Is Now on the App Store
Turn to Him is now available on the App Store, giving you a practical way to set limits around distracting apps and make more room for faith, presence, and the people and purposes that matter most.
Today we’re releasing Turn to Him on the App Store. It began with a personal question: what would change if I took more responsibility for the time I spend on my phone and intentionally replaced some of that time with more spirituality?
Why we built Turn to Him
I built Turn to Him out of a desire to take more control over my digital habits. I wanted a tool that could help me notice where my attention was going, set a clear goal for the day, and give me a chance to turn before a few minutes became an hour.
Turn to Him is built around a simple choice. When a limit interrupts a scroll, the point is not to make you feel guilty. It is to create a small opening to turn toward God, scripture, prayer, another person, or the work in front of you.
A daily practice for more intentional time
Turn to Him helps you choose the apps, categories, or websites you want to keep in balance and set a daily focus goal that fits your life. With your permission, Apple’s Screen Time features monitor the selections you make so the app can show you honest progress.
When you reach the goal, Turn to Him steps in with an uplifting intervention. You get a moment to pause and decide what deserves your attention next. The goal is not perfect behavior. It is a repeatable practice of noticing, choosing, and beginning again.
What’s available in version 1
Daily focus goals help you define what intentional screen time looks like today. Selected-app monitoring keeps the progress tied to the apps you actually want to keep in balance. A clear progress view helps you see how the day is going without making you guess.
When you reach your goal, the intervention gives you an encouraging prompt instead of leaving you to fight the habit alone. You can adjust your goal and selected apps as your needs change, because a useful practice has to fit real life.
Turn to Him also includes Talents, a daily discipline reward. You start with Talents Today and build toward retaining them through the day. Talents retained at day’s end are added to your Current Balance, reinforcing the habit over time without pretending that an imperfect day means you have failed.
This is the beginning
Our mission is to help people take back attention from distracting apps and turn that time toward God, meaningful relationships, and the work that matters to them. We envision a healthier relationship with technology in which digital tools serve a person’s faith, attention, and priorities instead of quietly directing them. This first App Store release is intentionally focused: goals, awareness, a timely pause, and a daily reason to keep practicing. More updates are on the way as we learn from the people who use Turn to Him.
If you want to take a more deliberate approach to your digital habits, download Turn to Him on the App Store and start with one goal for today.
